Architecture Tradition meets the current moment

The newly built hotel perfectly counterbalances the look of the centuries-old Traube restaurant.

The hotel was formed from a dismantled stable that stood next to the restaurant for decades. The timber structure has a larch façade that has been carbonized using traditional Japanese techniques to preserve the wood, while guestrooms are clad in solid oak. Throughout the process, local craftspeople were used and area residents were consulted.

Scandinavian simplicity and timeless historical pieces conjure up a sense of well-being.

The hotel’s design is characterized by authenticity and genuineness. Here, you will discover a serene oasis of Swiss materials and Nordic flair. All rooms are individually designed using handcrafted ceramics and tiles, with art playing a prominent role thanks to a collaboration with standout artist Heloisa Ackermann, whose paintings are found throughout the hotel.
