the hotel is a work of harmonious architectural synergy. Originally planned and constructed by famous architect Sigurd Lewerentz, the building that houses Blique by Nobis has been masterfully adapted by starchitect Gert Wingårdh so as to preserve the structure’s legacy while imbuing it with a fresh sense of contemporaneity.

By combining an industrial base, defined by beautiful concrete surfaces, with interiors awash in leather, textiles and wood, the hotel emits a warm atmosphere underpinned by a hard-edged, visual stoicism. Here, large geometric light fixtures are echoed by “illuminated” tables, while intimate spaces are juxtaposed by large, audience-style gathering places—and all set beneath an industrial veneer.

taking a well-balanced approach to fresh food with respect to humans, animals, and the planet. It uses organic produce as often as possible, and the first-hand choice for main ingredients is always those locally produced.

The hotel has LEED Gold certification. Wingårdhs Architects restored the original structure without adding much new construction.
The hotel recycles and uses KITRO to assess and reduce food waste. All food waste is composted and used in the vegetable garden.
The hotel runs on environmentally certified electricity. Energy-saving measures include LED lamps, time-controlled heat production, and time-controlled ventilation.
Most food and drinks are locally sourced, whether from the hotel’s garden or local producers. The hotel collaborates with Klimato to illustrate the impact of each menu item.
Free breathwork classes can be accessed on guestroom TVs. Guests can also attend a masterclass with the in-house gardener to learn how to plant and harvest vegetables at home.
The hotel rents bicycles during summer and recommends the bus to guests traveling via Arlanda Stockholm airport.
The hotel does carbon accounting each year and communicates sustainable actions with guests via the website, pre-arrival email, in-room TVs, and restaurant menus.
