Be sure not to miss Skaros—the remains of a Venetian Castle constructed in 1207 by Marco Sanudo, the ruler of all Cyclades islands at the time. Imerovigli is only five minutes from the capital of Fira, with its cafes, taverns and more. It’s also just 15 minutes from Oia, home to whitewashed houses carved into the rugged clifftops and a 19th-century mansion that serves as a Naval Maritime Museum.
